It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Wayne Murphy of Ringgold, Virginia, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on December 13, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, King Solomon Murphy, Sr. and Sadie Hudgins Murphy; his wife Jane Foulks Murphy; and his siblings, K. S. Murphy, Jr., Delma M. Smith and Shirley M. Franklin.
He is survived by: his son Joel W. Murphy (Wanda); his grandson Cameron W. Murphy (Elisabeth); his stepgranddaughter Jamie N. Eanes; and his brother Curtis Murphy (Irma). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
