He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby "Red"; his parents, Claude D. Lewis and Mamie Weatherford Lewis; his sons, Ricky D. Lewis and Ronnie C. Lewis; his daughter-in-law Sadie Lewis; his siblings, Estelle Ware (William), Lily Mae Ware, Claude J. Lewis (Helen), Ellis Lewis (Lucille), Polly Gentry and Billy Lewis; and his brother-in-law Bobby Nowell.
He is survived by: his children, Lawana L. Lewis (Roger) and Terry L. Lewis; his sister Virginia Mozelle Nowell (Nookes); his sister-in-law Gloria Ann Lewis; his daughter-in-law Sylvia Lewis; and his grandchildren, Tammy Bobruska (Nick), Ron Lewis (Sharon), Todd Abbott, John Abbott, Robert Lewis (Suzanne), Erica Michaels (Damian), James Lewis (Crystal), David Lewis (Erin) and Scotty Wells. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department, 3880 Tom Fork Rd, Ringgold, VA 24586.
