It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earlene Rose Dingus Akers of Riner, Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Lee and Mary Mullins Dingus; and her brother Dennis Lee Dingus. She is survived by: her husband Eddie Akers; her children, Jonathan E. Akers (Christina), James A. Akers (Amanda) and Margaret E. Akers (Joel); her grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan, David, Briar, April, Tyler, Adam and Bella; and her sisters, Sheila Ann Gallimore (Walter), Patricia Lynn Thomas and Johnnie Belinda Lytton. She is also survived by many other relatives and special friends.
