She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thompson and Marie Thompson; and her husband Richard Kent Fitting. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Eggers (Stephen) and Matthew Gardner (Megan); her grandchildren, Emma East, Shelby East, Dalton Eggers, Aaliyah Gardner and Roman Peacock; her siblings, Teresa Thompson (Ron Baldwin), Donna Slagle, Janice Wright and Randy Price (Debbie); and her close friends, Cindy Deforest, Jay, Sharon Gunn, Jackie, Larry Albert, Randy and Kathy Beasley.
