He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sanford Mitchell and Eliza Lea Mitchell; his siblings, Harry Mitchell, Jr., Joseph Mitchell, Shirley Mitchell Harris, Bobbie Sue Mitchell Rodgers and Linda Mitchell Pulliam; his nephew Roger Mitchell; and his great-nephews, Noah Grey McGuire and Joey Michael McGuire.
He is survived by: his close friend Deborah Foddrell; his sister Diane Mitchell Bryan; and his nieces and nephews, Tracy Fry, Susan Hampton, Rhonda McGuire, Cathy Denny, Sandy Torres, Lisa Harris, Ginger Mitchell, LeAnn Mitchell, Martha Mitchell, Carl "Pete" Pulliam, Jr., Michael Bryan, Joshua Bryan and Andrew Edwards. He is also survived by his family and friends.
