William Hardy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Hardy of Ridgeway, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orie Gould Hardy and Mary Cornelia Warren Hardy; his grandparents, John H. Hardy, Phoebe Wilson Hardy, William Cook Warren and Mary Hundley Warren; his siblings, Mary H. Young and Henry R. Hardy; and his son-in-law Robert A. Lloyd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon H. Lloyd of Smyrna, TN, Christy Kirby-Smith (Brian) of High Point, NC and Jennifer H. Murphy (Brian) of Greensboro, NC; his sisters, Louise H. Lackey of Collinsville, VA and Carol H. Burton of Murrell's Inlet, SC; his grandchildren, Whitney (Lee), Mitchell, Eliza, William, Daniel and Drew; and his close friend Joan S. Burgess of Ridgeway, VA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
