It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Burton Powell Jr. of Ridgeway, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Williams Powell; his daughter Melissa Powell Valley; his son-in-law Aaron Valley; and his caregiver Rita Stanley. He is also survived by brother-in-law, sister-in-law, three sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
