He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino J. Haapala and Aili M. Haapala; and his wife Gloria Fitz Haapala. He is survived by: his children, Mark Haapala (Jill) and Mary-Ellen Sicola; and his granddaughters, Mackenzie Maddox, Caroline and Callie Haapala.
