He was predeceased by: his father Roger Holdaway, Sr.; and his brothers, Tracy and Bobby Collins. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Bogue Eller; his wife Carrol Frame Holdaway; his children, Sarah Holdaway, David Quinlan, Guy Holdaway and Joshua Blackburn; his siblings, Debra Branch, Thomas Collins, John Collins, Sammy Bouge and David Wayne Anderson; his grandchildren, Lylah, Layni Holdaway, Janis, Jaxon Eugene Holdaway and Jaxson Blackburn; and his stepmother Mary Frances Holdaway.
