She was predeceased by: her brothers, Bert J. Vernon and Jimmy L. Vernon. She is survived by: her husband Jerry D. Porter, Sr.; her son Ralph Handy (Tandra) of Eden; and her sisters, Sybil Hall (Charles) of Eden, Helen White of High Point, Doris Land (Jimmy "Slick") of Stoneville, Sharon Smith and Lisa Vernon.
