Myrtle Stratton Nelson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Stratton Nelson (Ridgeway, Virginia), born in Ruffin, North Carolina, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Lincoln Stratton and Sally Woodall Stratton; her husband Jim Nelson; her grandson Melvin W. Underwood; her sons-in-law, Lillard and Dillard Underwood; and her siblings, Ruby McGuire, Belle Barber, Esther East, Lena Stratton, Howard, Melvin and Tony Stratton.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Nelson (Carolyn) of Winston-Salem, Jane Lillard of Eden and Mary Ruth Underwood of Eden; and her brother Gordon Stratton of Eden. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
