She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Haizlip and Carrie Ward Haizlip; her husband Thomas Junior Farris; and her siblings, Stephen, Ruben, Floyd, Ollie, William Haizlip and Ann Cook.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Farris Conner (Earnest) of Stoneville and Sharon Farris Sexton (James "Bo") of Yanceyville; her grandchildren, Jan Reneau (Doug), Cheryl Shively (Neal), Kim Miller (Bryan) and Jamie Sexton; her great grandchildren, James, Samantha, Zac and Emerie; and her siblings, Jane Sharpe of Stoneville, Jewellene Wright (Leslie) of Stoneville and Dewey Haizlip (Amy) of Greensboro.
