He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Cook and Cora Self Cook; his former wife Hazel Cook; and his siblings, James Cook, David Cook, Magdalene Gibson, Viola Cook, Vivian Vestal and Margaret Rorrer.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Gammon of Eden; his granddaughter Brandy Brooks (Travis) of Asheboro; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Calleigh Brooks of Asheboro; his friend Gus; and also Chris Covington.
