He was predeceased by: his parents, Posie Robert Harris and Etta Dalton Harris; his wife Louise Harris; his daughter-in-law Martha Harris; his grandson Dale Darr; and his siblings, Joel, Goffrey, Dennis, Leonard Harris, Sallie Mae Conner, Virginia Pearl Hundley, Gaynell Paschall and Katherine Cox.
He is survived by: his son Martin D. Harris, Jr. of Martinsville, VA; his grandsons, Gregory S. Harris (Rebecca) of Greensville, NC and Steven Darr; and his sisters, Julia Somers and Shirley Williams of Reidsville, NC..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Spray United Methodist Church (803 Morgan Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at the Ridgeview Memorial Gardens (1658 NC-135, Eden, NC 27288).
