He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Cox and Travis Parcell Cox; and his nephew John Treavor Cox. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Bary Cox; his children, Darion Cox (Ashley) and LeAnne Warnick (Willie); his siblings, Mike Cox (Bonnie), Tim Cox (Judy), Jeff Cox (Donna), Katie Cox and Susan Hancock; his grandchildren, Damien, Dylan, Robert, Winter and John Ford Cox; and his parents-in-law, Frank Bary and Sandra Bary. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fontaine Baptist Church (170 Fisher Farm Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
