She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiley Epperly and Blanch Epperly; her siblings, Herman Epperly, Harless Epperly, Edsel Epperly, Eva Conner, Virginia Epperly and Cassidy Foster; her husband Elmon Austin; her sons, Eddie Austin and Harold Austin; and her daughter-in-law Judy Austin.
She is survived by: her children, Leon Austin of Roanoke, VA, Gerald Austin of Christiansburg, VA and Loretta Austin of Ridgeway, VA.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
