It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Mason Cox of Ridgeway, Virginia, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cox and Lula Clifton Cox; and his siblings, Lurenda Cox Mitchell, Mae C. Griffith, Connis Cox and James "Chubbie" Cox.

He is survived by: his wife Genelle Cox; and his brothers, Granville Cox (Pernie) and Henry Cox.
