He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Smith and Loena Powers Smith; and his siblings, John C. Smith and Cathleen Aherron. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hatcher Smith; and his daughters, Sherri Jarrett (Jay) of Woodstock, Kim Jordan (Scott McEwan) of Eden and Lisa Wall (Derek) of Madison.
