He was predeceased by: his sisters, Odell Richardson, Mary Bertha Martin, Virginia Meador Hurt, Clara Meador Martin, Sally Evelyn Meador Emerson and Courtney Meador Davidson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Meador; his children, Larry Meador of Arkansas, Wanda Barnes of Martinsville, VA and Tim DeShazo of Martinsville, VA; and his grandchildren, Daniel Meador, Patrick Meador, Angela Osborne, Chad Foster, Ashley Bradburn and Allison DuBose. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Calvary Church Chapel, 350 A.L. Philpott Hwy., Axton, VA 24054.
