It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Coy Emory (Ridgeway, Virginia), who passed away on January 8, 2013, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbridge Emory and Frances Williamson Emory; and his son E. F. "Jimmy" Emory. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lawrence Emory of Eden; and his children, Sylvia E. Pulliam (Gene) of Ridgeway, VA, John Emory, Jr. (Lea) of Richmond, VA and Frances Emory of Morehead City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 533 Greenwood Street, Eden, NC 27288; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
