It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesse Newman (Ridgeway, Virginia), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2012, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James Newman and Nannie Robertson Newman; and his wife Mary Catherine Newman. He is survived by: his sons, James Perkins (Judy) of Eden and Chris Newman of Roxboro; his grandson Matthew Perkins of Eden; his mother-in-law Virginia Tucker of Eden; and his siblings, Mae Stump (Lewis) of Eden and Ronald Newman (Linnie) of Eden. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
