He is survived by: his wife Dorothy O'Dell Thacker; his daughters, LaVerne Tullock (John) of Greensboro, NC and Janet Boardwine (Roy) of Ridgeway, VA; his granddaughter Jasmine Boardwine of Ridgeway; and his sister Ada T. O'Dell of Ridgeway.
