With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Hodges Cardwell of Ridgeway, Virginia, born in Henry, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, G. Dewey Hodges and Virginia Thommason Hodges; her husband Raymond T. Cardwell; her siblings, Virginia "Phoebe" Leach (Bill), Ruby Helen Hodges, Kenneth Hodges (Imogene) and Jack M. Hodges; and her sister-in-law Nancy Jones Hodges.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Kelley and Phillip Cardwell (Catherine); her siblings, Nancy Stowe (Marshall), James Earl Hodges (Dot), Howard Hodges (Betty) and Glenn Hodges (Theresa); her sister-in-law Betty Jean Hodges; and her grandchildren, Matthew Scott Clifton, Holly Dillon, Tiffany Harbour, Dixie Greene, Jonathan Kelley, Benjamin Kelley, Derek McGee and Corey McGee. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
