He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Martin Wood; his children, Susan Southern, Robert D. Wood, Ricky D. Martin (Janet) and Steven D. Martin; his siblings, Kay Wood, Karen Wood and Jerry Wood; and his grandchildren, Wynn Martin, Nora Grace Martin, Jessica Hicks, Sydney Morgan, Tanner Martin, Elizabeth Meade, Hannah Carmichael, Christian Robertson and Devin Wood. He is also survived by ten great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
