He was predeceased by: his parents, Drewery Payton Ray and Dovie Nickles Ray; and his sister Barbara Mabe. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth M. Ray, Donald P. Ray, Jr. (Kristina) and Michael Ray; and his sister Doris Lester.
