He is survived by: his children, Sheri Cochran, Lisa Bateman, Kathy Powell, Pamela Taylor, Derwood Bateman, Daniel Bateman, Kevin Bateman and Steven Bateman; and his sisters, Doris McClung, Mary Bowman, Louise Nance, Elizabeth Stone, Nancy Coleman and Mildred Adams. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
