He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Redd, Sr. and Lottie Sue Martin Redd; his wives, Lula Redd and Sallie Morris Redd; his brothers, Richard and Benjamin Redd; and his son Wilbur Redd.
He is survived by: his sons, Curtis Redd (Vivian) of Stoneville, NC and Ronald Redd (Judy) of Ridgeway, VA.; and his siblings-in-law, Ganelle Redd, Lucinda Boyd, Delores Millner, T. Nelson Thomas and Billy Watkins (Malisia). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Perry-Spencer Funeral Home (402 Short Ave, Madison, NC 27025). Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mayo Missionary Baptist Church (3554 Horsepasture Price Rd, Ridgeway, VA 24148). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
