It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Basil Dorse Myers of Ridgeway, Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Dewey Clarence; and his siblings, Shirley Martin, Vernon and Jack Myers. He is survived by: his wife Velda Lineberry Myers; his children, Tim Myers (Kim) of Ridgeway, VA and Suzanne Boyes (Art) of Danville, VA.; his grandchildren, Mark Myers (Tiffany), Amanda M. Compton (Chris), Matthew Boyes (Amy), Rebekah B. Taylor (Zach), Stephen Boyes and David Boyes; and his sisters, Barbara Surratt of Radford, VA and Betty Parnell of Collinsville, VA. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
