She was predeceased by: her husband Judge Herman L. Peters; her parents, James Garfield Joyce and Mary Taylor Joyce; her brothers, George A. Joyce, Andy Joyce and Dr. J. Daniel Joyce; and her nephew Bill Joyce.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Nancy Joyce Nash of Martinsville, VA, Karen Joyce of Martinsville, VA, Mark Joyce of Martinsville, VA and Kevin C. Joyce of Houston; and her sister-in-law Beatrice Joyce of Houston, TX.. She is also survived by "children" were her nieces and nephews.
