He was predeceased by: his siblings, Carol Burgess, Norma Frazier, Marie Ingram, Arnold Burgess and Melvin Burgess.

He is survived by: his wife June Boothe Burgess; his daughter Lisa Stone (Kenny); his granddaughter Summer Stone; and his siblings, Bobbi Boyce, Alma Hall, Becky Wilson, Patsy Stewart (Lem) and Richard Burgess (Mary Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
