He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Axsom and Dove Talbert Axsom; and his former wife Patricia Hancock Young. He is survived by: his wife Betty McLaurin Axsom; his children, Brian Axsom of Boulder, Brent English (Tara) of Boise, Idaho, Susan Axsom Morgan (Gerald) of Apex, NC and Rhona English Sherrill (Michael) of San Ramon, California; his grandchildren, Ashley, Seth, Mary Ann and Griffin; and his sister-in-law Faye Axsom of Axton. He is also survived by 9 children.
