He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Cunningham Jenkins. He is survived by: his daughters, Velma Jenkins Tillar (Marvin) and Jennifer Jenkins Copeland; his grandchildren, Marcus Tillar (Candice), Shannon Tillar Thompson (Jeremiah), Chauncey and Carter Copeland; and his siblings, Charles Jenkins, Melvin Jenkins and Ola Mae Henderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:45 AM. The lying in state was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Union Baptist Church (3510 Dill Rd, Richmond, VA 23222). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
