Walter J. Sparzak Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2025, Walter J. Sparzak Sr. (Richmond, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Janet J. Sparzak; his parents, Walter Sparzak and Anna Mocarski Sparzak; and his brother Thomas Sparzak. He is survived by: his wife Janet Jones Sparzak; his children, Walter Sparzak, Jr., Alicia Sparzak, Paul Sparzak (Monica), Corrinne Walkaus (Tim), Jeffrey Sparzak, Vincent Sparzak, Valerie Turner (Sean) and Janine Spease (Tim); and his grandchildren, Austin, Catherine, Matthew, Liam of Kayla, AJ, Mason, Colt and Gabriel. He is also survived by eight children, six adopted children and two biological children.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany (11000 Smoketree Dr, Richmond, VA 23236). A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Scouting America, Church of the Epiphany, or an organization of your choice.
