She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel L. Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Mark (Miriam) and Timothy (Dee); and her grandchildren, Rafael, Jon Hernandez, Brittany Basham (Chase) and Courtney Thompson (Robert). She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
