We bid farewell to Robert Miller in Richmond, Virginia, born in Chester, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 31, 2024 at the age of 106. Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Robert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Baird; and his son John Sloan Miller. He is survived by: his children, Betty Anne Smith (Henry) of Florence, SC, Robin Miller (Lynne Turner) of Richmond, VA, Henry Miller (Terry) of Vienna, VA and Nancy Pollard (Ed) of Corona de; his sister-in-law Mae Lee Miller of Summerville, SC.; and his family Bob. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Waverly Road Presbyterian Church (2049 Greenway St, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at the Old Purity Cemetery.
Both the family and Bob were proud of donating his remarkable brain to the Boston University RADCO (Resistance against Alzheimer's Disease in Centenarians & Offspring) study. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to either Preston Hills Presbyterian Church or The Nature Conservancy.
