Peter C. Schmidt Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter C. Schmidt of Richmond, Virginia, born in Hudson, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Peter farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Peter is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parents, Bruce Schmidt and Patricia Schmidt of Catskill; his wife Erica; his children, Sidney, Claire and Benjamin of Richmond; his siblings, Scott Schmidt (Jennifer) of Richmond, VA and Amy Bender (Joshua) of Germantown; and his sister-in-law Brie Wode (Adam) of Denver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home (139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, NY 12414). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
