With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ovetta P. Doughty of Richmond, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Ovetta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her sisters, Faustina P. Buck and Edwina P. Macklin; and her niece Tami S. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Clifton Doughty Jr.; her daughter Nicole McDaniel; her grandchildren, MoNika Lucess (Cirdale Lucess), Ja'Heam McDaniel and Zy'Hier McDaniel; and her sister Carol Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Richmond Coach & Cremation Service, Inc. (8500 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond, VA 23228).
