She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Brooks-Gray and Lewis Webster McCray; her husband Henry Barnes; and her sister Ruth Mae Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Treina Kelley, Joann Carn, Benjamin Daniel III, Joyce D. Moseley, Rodney Daniel, Gwendolyn Edwards and Mary Porter; her grandchildren, Leon Jones, Tijoy Daniel, Tanita Joiner, Kelli Bullock, Roderick Lewis, Kode Brooks, Tierra Jones, Ashley Jones, Ah'Lexis Daniel, Da'Jia Daniel, Benjamin Daniel IV, Brandon James, Jade Perry and Michelle Rucker; and her siblings, Leon A. Gray Jr., Yvonne G. White (Avon) and Saundra G. Solomon. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel (2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294).
