She is survived by: her mother Virgie Blake Smith; her close friend Steven Merriman; her husband Reverend Roland Brown Jr.; her children, Mysti Nichols "Suzie Q" and Barry Blake Nichols "Jack"; her grandchildren, Brion, Jaiden, Blake Nichols, Madison and Royal Davis; her godchildren, Jayla Nichols, DeMia and DeMar Jackson; her siblings, Philip Blake, Barbara "Sissy" Ridley, Sam Smith (Barbara), Vickie Jenkins (Sellars), Phyllis Ewing and Donna Colander; her aunt Vernell; her godfather Reverend Mark A. Croston Sr. (YaYa); and her friend Barry Nichols. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and one great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the East End Baptist Church (1056 Portsmouth Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
