Bates; his daughters, Shani Brown and Michelle Brown Harris (Marek); his grandson Micah Benjamin Harris; his uncle Governor L. Douglas Wilder; and his nephew Albert Brown Jr.. He is also survived by cousins; sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home (2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
