She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Carter Nelson and Mary Edna Mitchem (Broach); and her children, John E. Simon III and E. Renee Arvin. She is survived by: her grandson John E. Simon, Jr.; her daughter Gina; her son-in-law Steve Albis; her grandchildren, Stephen Albis (Jennifer), Jonathan Albis (Emily), Nikki Creel (Tripp) and Ashby Arvin; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Charlotte, Stevie, Camden, Brady, Audrey, Parker and Mary Elizabeth; her niece Georgia Geoghegan; her close friends, Gloria and Joyce; and also Jim Arvin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Gertrude Chapel Fund in the name of Mary Simon.
