He was predeceased by: his son Michael; and his parents, Louis, Sr. Lawrence and Elizabeth "Boots" Bridgewater Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his son Larry; his grandson Christopher; his great grandchild Katherine; and his sisters, Betty Sauer, Janet Jenkins and Barbara Todd.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel (2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
