He was predeceased by: his parents, James Button Chapman and Dorthea Evelyn Chapman; his grandmother Dorothy Charles; and his son James Earl Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gail Chapman; his daughter Ashley Chapman (Krystina); his granddaughter Madison Chapman; and his nieces and nephews, Wendy Collison (Avery), David Cottingham (Marie), Rebecca Cottingham Quimby (Jay) and Rick Cottingham Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of James.
