He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Scherr and Meyer Scherr; and his brother Maurice. He is survived by: his wife Elise Bloom Scherr; his children, Beth Scherr (Don Libbon), Jay Scherr (Audrey) and Melissa Brownstein (Andy); and his grandchildren, Evan Scherr, Alexandra Brownstein and Olivia Brownstein. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
