She was predeceased by: her daughter Elizabeth H. Mitchell; and her grandchildren, Sheryl Mitchell-Thomas and Cary Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Carla Cheatham-Debrough (William) and Carl Mason Spencer (Sheila). She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home (2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jerusalem Baptist Church (16210 Short Cut Rd, Doswell, VA 23047). Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
