He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Petersiel and Hilda Petersiel; his wife Iris Petersiel; and his son-in-law Jay Hall. He is survived by: his children, Sheri Hall and Eric Petersiel (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Frances, Tori, Josh, Annie and Benjamin. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Bliley's Central (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum or Congregation Or Atid in Helmut's memory.
