She is survived by: her husband John Brackett Jr.; her son John Brackett Ill; her grandchildren, Tanisha, Kyri and Antwain Brackett; her sister Evelyn Blake; and her siblings-in-law, E. Aretha Saunders, Forrest Brackett and Joseph Brackett (Alice). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home (2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). The lying in state was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Gravel Hill Baptist Church (2600 Gravel Hill Rd, Richmond, VA 23225). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
