Though Govan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Govan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his children, Keviyah Robinson and Devon Mitchell; his parents, Vernita Shelton and Eugene Shelton; and his sisters, Marian Shelton-Turner (Robert), Sharrie and Shamaneka Shelton. He is also survived by Six aunts; four uncles; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home (2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
