We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2025, Elizabeth Langhorne Shewmake (Woodroof) Johannessen (Richmond, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oscar Lane Shewmake and Rita Beamer Shewmake; her husband Robert Lloyd Johannessen; her children, Elizabeth Woodroof Cogar and William Woodroof, Jr. (Woody); her grandchildren, James Cogar and Liza Cogar (Chris Brown); her great grandchild Simon Brown; her stepson Bob Johannessen (Kelly); her children, Rob, Anna and Bill Johannessen (Alison); her grandchildren, Will and Nick; her daughter Betsy Johannessen McMahan (Scott); and her grandchildren, Michael and Catherine.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (12291 River Rd, Richmond, VA 23238).
