We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2024, at the age of 81, Eleanor Frances Howard (Richmond, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her former life partner Jerry E. Trimmer; her husband Charles B. Howard; her son John Brian Trimmer; and her siblings, Jack Long, Arthur "Butch" Verlander Jr., Ella Mae Turlington, Anne McClintock and Betty Ball.

She is survived by : her children, David Wayne Trimmer (Marie Armes Trimmer) and Patty Hancock; her grandchildren, Holden B. Trimmer and Jessica C. Trimmer; and her sister Mary I. Newcomb (Herbert). She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Steamboat Era Museum, PO Box 132, Irvington, Va. 22480 or to the charity of your choice.
